Glass Polariscope Tester, For Laboratory

Polariscope with viewing area 240 x 240 Polariscope is used to view the strain/defects like molecular birefringent flow lines, blackisoclinic lines, cristal lines in PET preforms, PET & glass ítems. PET preform exhibits various defects which can be detected by polariscope as a colored birefringence pattern is produced via ploarized light. During the process of injection molding, ploymer flow lines occurs which further results in birefringence. The birefringence intensity is predicted by an iso chromatic fringe which is observed when preform is held at 45° to the polarizing axis. On the other hand, the direction of molecular orientational strain is indicated by a black isoclinic which is observed when the preform is held parallel to the polarising axis.
