Description

Polyurethane rubber is a thermoplastic elastomer formed by reacting a polyol with a diisocyanate or a polymeric isocyanate in the presence of suitable catalysts and additives. Polyurethane rubber is widely used due to its high strength, and excellent tear and abrasion resistance. Polyurethane also provides excellent permeation resistance. Urethane, polyurethane (AU) o-rings are produced by the poly addition reaction of a polyisocyanate with a polyol in the presence of a catalyst. AU has excellent wear resistance, high tensile strength, tear strength, extrusion resistance and elasticity in comparison with any other material.
