It is one of the most common sensors in the Siemens lineup, widely used for supervising gas flames, yellow/blue oil flames, and verifying ignition sparks. QRA2M (Green Cover): High sensitivity, used for smaller flames or longer viewing distances. QRA2.9: Features a heat-resistant housing for short-term ambient temperatures up to 200 °C. Model Suffixes (Mounting Options) QRA2: Basic unit without mounting flange or clamp. QRA2(1): Supplied with a mounting flange and clamp. QRA2(2): Specifically refers to the plastic housing variant (standard). Compatible Burner Controls The QRA2 is highly versatile and works with almost all Siemens/Landis & Staefa control boxes. In some cases, an ancillary unit (adapter) is required to convert the signal: Direct Connection: LFL, LAL, LGI16, LGK16. With Adapter AGQ1/AGQ2/AGQ3: LGB2, LGB4, LMG, LME21, LME22, LME39, LMV2, LMV3. Important Installation Notes Static Charge: The plastic housing is "metallized" (coated) to prevent the build-up of static electricity caused by the air flow from the burner fan. Do not paint over this housing. Interference: Like all UV sensors, the QRA2 can be triggered by UV radiation from sources other than the flame, such as ignition sparks, welding arcs, or high-intensity halogen lamps. Ensure it is aimed strictly at the flame. Mounting Torque: When tightening the housing screws, the maximum torque is 0.3 Nm
