Sand Carbon Filter

Sand and carbon filtration are typically used for achieving supplemental removals of suspended solids and pathogens not destroyed by the clarifocculation process. Sand and carbon filtration are equipped with automated backwash system in order to keep a high level of efficienza.Sand filtration is used for the removal of suspended matter, as well as floating and sinkable particles. The wastewater flows vertically through a fine bed of sand and/or gravel. Particles are removed by way of absorption or physical encapsulation. If there is excessive pressure loss on the filter, it must be rinsed.Sand Filter – Activated Carbon Filter is the method for filtration process in both water and wastewater treatment plants as a primary or tertiary filtration process based on the source of water and treated water. In water treatment process, it is installed as a primary treatment to reduce the impurities of raw water.
