A prefab is a house built with parts which have been made in a factory and then quickly put together at the place where the house was built.In India, most fabricators and construction companies build prefab homes using three modern construction techniques – modular, panel built, and manufactured. These terms are often used interchangeably but, there is a significant difference in their utility and the construction process.They devised an ideal floor plan of a one-storey bungalow with two bedrooms, inside toilets, a fitted kitchen, a bathroom and a living room. The prefabs would be detached houses surrounded by a garden to encourage dwellers to grow fruit and vegetables and would have a coal shed.
