Steel Light Gauge Framing System LGFS

Light Gauge Framing System (LGFS) or Light gauge Steel framing (LGSF) is a construction technology using cold-formed steel as the construction material. It can be used for roof systems, floor systems, wall systems, roof panels, decks, or the entire buildings.Light gauge steel framing is a lot like wood framing, however, the wood framing pieces are replaced by thin sections of steel. They are cold-formed, which means they're formed at room temperature, as opposed to structural steel. They can be bent and made into any shape. Heavy, or “structural” steel, is hot-rolled.The LGS frame is a “C” cross-section with built in notch, dimpling, slots, service holes etc. produced by computerized roll forming machine. These frames shall be assembled using metal screws to form into LGSF wall and roof structures of a building.
