Polyvinyl chloride comes in both rigid and flexible forms. Today, rigid polyvinyl chloride is used to fabricate most doors that are on the market, though some doors are also standard PVC.However, they serve different functions. PVC is often used to make siding and fences, whereas UPVC is used for window and door construction. PVC is not suitable for window and door construction due to its chemical composition.
