Box Price Extra 7500/- The Surface Resistivity Meter measures both surface resistance and resistance to ground. This is meant for use in evaluating a wide variety of ESD protective materials including tablemats, floor mats, and hard ESD-laminates. It measures and displays Surface Resistivity as well as surface to ground and point-to-point resistances. These measurements can be done in the range of <10E3 to >10E12 ohms by using two 2.5-kilo (5lb) heavy electrodes or through internal probes. To check whether surface Resistivity is in accordance with EOS/ESD Association standards S-4.1. Surface Resistivity Measurement - Digital: - Place the instrument on any surface, which is to be tested so that the two sensor electrodes at the bottom of the Instrument are in proper contact with the surface. Power ON the instrument and gently press the PRESS TO TEST button on the instrument. A dot matrix LCD liquid crystal Display provides easy to read measurements with exponent, directly from the meter. No interpretations or calculations are required.Surface to ground measurement: - 1. Connect the surface to ground cord to the LEFT HAND jack on the meter and to ground. 2. Connect the surface to ground cord to the RIGHT HAND jack on the meter and to the 5-pound electrodes. 3. Place the electrode on the material at the position specified by the procedure selected. Be sure to keep the cords separated in order to prevent false readings, especially when testing the higher resistance materials. 4. Power ON the instrument. 5. Press the TEST button and take the resistance reading in ohms directly from the LCD display. The measurement will be resistance to ground in OHMS instead of OHMS/SQ.
