Handy Air Sampler - 3 LPM Flow Rate, Respirable Particle Size

TheUniversal IAQS 012 system uses a battery operatedpump to draw air thorough a suitable absorption solutioncontained in an impinger. If necessary, 2 impingers canbe used in series to monitor 2 gaseous pollutants. Thereis an additional provision to determine suspendedparticulates in the same exercise by using the opensampling head which takes 25mm diameter filters. Sincethe IAQS 012 sampler uses wet chemical methods tosample gaseous toxicants, the same hardware can beused to sample a variety of pollutants including oxides ofsulphur and nitrogen, ammonia, sulphides, etc. Theparticulate sampling head provided with the systemwould be useful for monitoring particulates like silica,cement dust, metal fumes, asbestos fibres, etc in workareas of cement plants, foundries, etc. To ensurecomplete absorption and reduce loss of absorbingsolutions by evaporation, the impinger tubes of the IAQS 012 sampler are kept in an insulated ice tray.
