A reversing drum mixer is a type of concrete mixer that produces concrete in single batches. The entire drum rotates around its axis as materials are loaded through a charge chute at one end of the drum and exit through a discharge chute at the opposite end of the drumA drum mixer is a gallon drum that rotates to mix chemicals and materials, including gravel and cement. They consist of a double frustum-shaped drum. The contained drum can have a single or multiple sets of blades used in the mixing mechanism, depending on the type of the drum mixer.The turning motion, assisted by gravity, gently redistributes the product randomly and directs the product towards the outlet of the drum, where an accumulation of product causes a back-flow and an additional mixing motion.
