The moderate shear of the ribbon or paddle naturally breaks down lumps and agglomerates. Ribbon blenders are extremely efficient and economical.Ribbon blenders get their name from the ribbon agitator that makes up part of their design. A U-shaped horizontal trough makes up the rest of the structure of a ribbon blender. The ribbon agitator within the blender is made up of a set of inner and outer helical blades.
