Rice Polishers

Rice polishing is performed through a rice polisher machine used for buffing or polishing kernels of rice to change the way they look and taste. In India, this is a practice to transform brown rice into white rice. These machines use talc or fine dust of other material to buff the outer coat of rice kernels.The milling is done is a roller machine which consists of revolving cylindrical stone coated with a paste of abrasive mineral and sorel cement (Mg(OH)2 and MgCl2) in a proportionate amount of water. The brown rice is polished by the rubbing action between the abrasive roller and the leather pad.
