An ABS reflector delineator is a heavy-duty road safety marker featuring a rigid Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) housing fitted with microprismatic PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) lenses. Unlike basic plastic delineators wrapped with standard sticky reflective tape, these units use hard-shell, ultrasonic-welded plastic reflectors. This makes them exceptionally resistant to severe outdoor weather, high-impact friction, fading from intense UV rays, and internal dust or water ingress.Key Structural TypesABS reflector assemblies are usually integrated into road safety hardware in three ways: Round Post/Pipe Delineators: Typically feature a powder-coated steel or rigid plastic core post (ranging from 48mm to 75mm in diameter) capped with a dual-sided, circular ABS head containing large reflective lenses (often 100mm to 110mm in diameter). Guardrail/W-Beam Reflectors: Trapezoidal or rectangular ABS brackets that bolt directly onto the recesses of metal crash barriers or concrete New Jersey medians. Spring-Loaded Traffic Posts: Flexible polyurethane or polymer pillars anchored by a heavy-duty, impact-resistant ABS base plate that survives being run over by vehicles.
