licone Rubber Hose is a high-performance flexible conduit designed for environments that experience extreme temperature fluctuations. Unlike traditional organic rubber hoses, silicone is a synthetic elastomer that remains stable, flexible, and non-reactive under conditions that would cause other materials to melt, crack, or become brittle. Industrial-grade silicone hoses typically utilize a multi-layered design to handle pressure and maintain shape: Inner Core: Made of high-purity silicone. For specific oil or fuel resistance (which standard silicone lacks), it can be lined with Fluorosilicone. Reinforcement Layer: To prevent the hose from bursting or expanding under pressure, layers of fabric are embedded. Polyester: Most common for temperatures up to 180°C. Nomex® / Aramid: Used for high-heat applications up to 250°C+. Wire Helix: A steel wire coil is often added for suction applications to prevent the hose from collapsing under vacuum. Outer Cover: A smooth or "cloth-finish" silicone layer that protects against UV, ozone, and environmental wear. Feature Typical Range Temperature Range -60°C to +230°C (Specialty grades reach 300°C). Standard Sizes 6.5mm (1/4") to 102mm (4") and larger for ducting. Pressure Rating 5 bar to 20 bar (depending on the number of plies/reinforcement). Hardness 60 to 70 Shore A (flexible yet firm).
