Description
Product Description Product details Welding arc rays from all the welding processes produce intense, visible and invisible (ultraviolet and infrared) rays that can burn eyes and skin. Wear an approved welding helmet fitted with an appropriate shade of filter lens to protect your face and eyes when welding or watching. Wear approved safety glasses with side shields under your helmet. Never use broken or faulty welding helmets. Always ensure there are adequate protective screens or barriers to protect others from flash, glare and sparks from the welding area. Ensure that there are adequate warnings that welding or cutting is taking place JS8912 Welding helmets are designed to protect the eyes and face from sparks, spatter, and harmful radiation under normal welding conditions. They will not protect against severe impact hazards, including fragmenting grinding disks and they must never be used for grinding. This helmet will never protect against explosive devices or corrosive liquids. Machine guards or eye splash protection must be used when these hazards are present. Impact resistant, primary eye protection, spectacles or goggles that meet current ANSI, must be worn at all times when using this welding helmet. Avoid work positions that could expose unprotected areas of the body to spark, spatter, direct and/or refl ected radiations. Use adequate protection if exposure can not be avoided. Check the front cover lens to make sure that they are clean, and that no dirt is covering the two sensors on the front of fi lter cartridge. Also check the front/inside cover lens and the front lens retaining frame to make sure that they are secure and clean. Inspect all operating parts before each use for signs of wear or damage. Any scratched, cracked, or pitted parts should be replaced immediately. Do not make any modifi cations to either the welding lens or helmet, other than those specifi ed in this manual. Do not use any replacement parts other than those specifi ed in this manual. Unauthorized modifi cations and replacement parts will void the warranty and expose the user to the risk of personal injury. Select the shade number you require at the turn of a shade knob. Finally be sure that the shade number is the correct setting for your application. Adjust headband so that the helmet is seated as low as possible on the head and close to your face. Adjust helmets incline angle by turning the adjustable angle bracket. Failure to follow these warnings and/or failure to follow all of the operating instructions could result in severe personal injury. This product is a completely new design, with shell material high and low temperature resistant, corrosion resistant, fl ame retardant, soft, light tight and durable. Overall - process protection against ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) radiation. JS8912 is equipped with lithium battery and solar cells that extends the life of the battery. The product fully conforms with related ANSIZ87:1-2010 std safety standard. Peel off the protective fi lm inside and outside the surfaces of lens. Prior to welding, the fi lter screen is in a transparent and clear state, enabling a clear vision on work piece, at the moment of starting welding, it automatically changes the fi lter screen from clear to dark state. At the moment of stopping welding, the fi lter screen automatically changes from dark to clear state. Adjust the Shade number knob according to different welding current and welding process to select proper shade number: see attached table 1.
