Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) as a collection of principles to apply for on-farm production and post-production processes, resulting in safe and healthy food and non-food agricultural products.GAP standards are all different but their intended goals include the following to varying degrees:Ensure safety and quality of produce in the food chainCapture new market advantages by modifying supply chain governanceImprove natural resources use, workers health and working conditions, and/orCreate new market opportunities for farmers and exporters in developing countries.
