Scrap Shearing Machine

Shearing machines are multipurpose devices used in the cutting of alloys and other sheet metal. Some shearing machines use a scissor-like, angular shear action to cut metal into sheets or strips.Shearing is the process of cutting sheet metal to size out of a larger roll or flat stock. As the material moves through the shear machine, cutting blades come together in order to fracture the material into separate, smaller pieces. This process creates quality clean cuts that can be repeated quickly.Most commonly, shearing is used to cut a sheet parallel to an existing edge which is held square, but angled cuts can be made as well. For this reason, shearing is primarily used to cut sheet stock into smaller sizes in preparation for other processes.
