The Can is lifted to the Seaming Chuck and the seaming operation begins. After completion, the lifter plate with the seamed Can are automatically brought down to the rest position. The machine can be fitted with a Control Panel with Push Buttons and a Pneumatic Lifting system doing away with the mechanical foot pedal.A can seamer is a machine used to seal the lid to the can body. The lid or "end" is usually tinplated steel (food) or aluminum (drinks) while the body can be of metal (such as cans for beverages and soups), paperboard (whisky cans) or plastic.In basic terms, can seaming works by using two rollers to create a hook between the can and the lid and then pressing them together to create an airtight seal. The seamer starts by spinning the can before each roller comes out and presses against the top of it.
