Packaged Sewage Treatment Plant

A Package sewage treatment plant is a completely self contained system for sewage treatment that is 'plug & play' and should incorporate the following elements in one outer tank; Include adequate primary and final settlement/clarification. Adequate biological treatment. Sludge Storage, preferably at least 3 months.Package plants are used in rural areas, highway rest stops and trailer parks where population to be served ranges from 10 – 100 people or so. One type of system that combines secondary treatment and settlement is the cyclic activated sludge. Typically, activated sludge is mixed with raw incoming sewage, and aerated.Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) – The mechanism or process used to treat the wastewater prior to release into the environment or its reuse.
