Sewage Treatment Plant

Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is a process of purification of Sewage water and reusing for Gardening, Agricultural and other general Purpose. Treated Sewage water is purified and maintained as per the Pollution control board norms. STP are mandatory in most of the industries, housing colonies, apartments etc.Sewage Treatment refers to the process of removing contaminants, micro-organisms and other types of pollutants from wastewater. Wastewater, or raw sewage, is water that drains from toilets, sinks, showers, baths, dishwashers, washing machines and liquid industrial waste.The basic principle of the working of a biological treatment plant is decomposition of the raw sewage. This process is done by aerating the sewage chamber with fresh air. The aerobic bacteria survive on this fresh air and decompose the raw sewage which can be disposed of in the sea.There are three main stages of the wastewater treatment process, aptly known as primary, secondary and tertiary water treatment. In some applications, more advanced treatment is required, known as quaternary water treatment.
