Continuous Pickling Line

Push-pull pickling lines are used to process individual coils that cannot be stapled or welded. They offer excellent operational flexibility, making it possible to switch frequently between different strip sizes and grades of steel.How is Steel Pickled? Hot worked steel is dipped into a vat of either sulfuric or hydrochloric acid, called pickle liquor. Steels with carbon content higher than 6% will require an extra step using nitric, phosphoric, or hydrofluoric acid.
