Single Girder Overhead Travelling Cranes

A single-girder overhead crane is a type of bridge crane that consists of two or more overhead runways built into the building's support structure, with the girder (the bridge) running between the runways for the width of the crane bay.A girder (/ˈɡɜːrdər/) is a support beam used in construction. It is the main horizontal support of a structure which supports smaller beams. Girders often have an I-beam cross section composed of two load-bearing flanges separated by a stabilizing web, but may also have a box shape, Z shape, or other forms.
