Single Screw Extruder

A single screw extruder is a machine used to form a plastic product into the required shape. The machine heats the plastic raw material (e.g. PVC) to its melting point, after which it is pushed through a die that gives the material its shape.A screw extruder is a type of mixer which moves the components through a cylinder using a screw which turns. Small plastic pellets are fed into the hopper of the screw extruder where they are conveyed through the extruder by the rotating screw.A twin screw extruder is a machine consisting of two intermeshing, co-rotating screws mounted on splined shafts in a closed barrel. The screws are tight and self-wiping, which eliminates stagnant zones over the entire length of the process section. This results in high efficiency and perfect self-cleaning.
