Sludge Dewatering Filter Press

A filter press (FP) provides sludge dewatering by pressing the sludge between a series of porous plates. The process forces water from the sludge by applying high pressures to sludge layers held between a series of 20−80 rectangular plates.Sludge dewatering is the practice of minimizing waste by volume to prepare for its effective disposal. Sludge originates during the process of treating wastewater before the water can be released back into the environment.
