Fully Automatic Universal Penetrometer

EIE – Fully automatic penetrometer is an intelligently designed device for determining the consistency or hardness of a substance by measuring the depth or rate of penetration of a rod/needle/hollow cone/solid cone/ tapered cone driven into it by a known force.Penetrometers are used for testing a wide variety of materials such as grease, petroleum, bitumen, tar, asphalt, rubber, cement and soils.The depth of penetration of the cone or needle into the sample is measured and recorded in mm, PU (Penetrometer) units along with the additional measurement of apparent yield stress (σapp). The deeper the cone/needle sinks into the material, the softer the material is.
