Subsidy Solar Rooftop

Solar rooftop subsidy scheme is an initiative by the Government of India to promote solar rooftop usage in the country. The central government through the solar rooftop subsidy yojana encourages use of renewable energy and provides subsidies on solar rooftop installations to consumers.The state subsidy of 40% for rooftop systems should be available up to 3 kW and 20% for a range between 3 kW to 10 kW. These should be installed and commissioned by private residential consumers. However, the subsidy should be limited to the maximum capacity of 10 kW.The main aim of the scheme is to generate solar power by installing solar panels on the roof of the houses.To boost the usage of solar energy in the residential sector, India has a solar subsidy programme in place. It reduces the financial burden of installing solar panels, by providing financial assistance to consumers. With this incentive, residential consumers can save up to 40% of their installation cost.
