1 Ton Mild Steel Cage Elevator

The 1 Ton Mild Steel Cage Elevator lifts one metric ton between floors at sites such as warehouses and small factories. The frame is welded from mild steel box sections plus angle - the nuts and bolts are zinc plated. A steel mesh enclosure surrounds the platform on three sides but also the roof - the fourth side has a manual sliding gate that locks with a drop latch. The lift moves on twin roller chains driven by a one horsepower geared motor mounted under the floor plate. Limit switches halt the car at the upper and lower landings. The standard travel is ten feet as well as the speed is twelve feet per minute. No hydraulics or counterweights are used - the unit needs only a 230 V single phase supply and a straightforward wall mounted call station. The whole assembly ships as a bolt together kit plus usually stands on the existing slab without extra steel.
