Cream Storage Tank

Dairy tanks are mainly process tanks where cream or yoghurt is produced. These tanks usually have a conical or flat bottom, are cooled by means of a pillow plate, half-pipe and are fully insulated. If the tanks are placed indoors, they are built with a welded shell.These tanks are used to store a product for a short time before it continues along the line. They are used for buffer storage, to level out variations in flow. After heat treatment and cooling, the milk is pumped to a buffer tank, and from there to filling.Storage tanks serve two major purposes. One is to provide storage volume and the other is to provide pressure to the distribution system. A particular tank can serve one or both purposes depending on its location within the system and its type of configuration.
