Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) is the release of stored static electricity. Most commonly, the potentially damaging discharge of many thousands of volts that occurs when an electronic device is touched by a charged body. Electrostatic Dissipative (ESD), or Static Control Chairs are built with custom fabrics, components, bases and casters to reduce static charge generated by sitting and to discharge it safely through the floor grounds.
