Gi Pipe Fittings

GI Pipe Fittings are components and parts used in the installation of pipelines for supply of liquid and gas. These pipe fittings are made of galvanized iron (GI) which is a process of strengthening ferrous metal. Galvanization is a process by which iron or steel is strengthened by applying a zinc coating on the surface of these metals. Coating on the zinc is done to prevent rusting and corrosion. Galvanization is done most often by the method hot dip galvanizing by which iron or steel is given a bath in molten zinc or completely submerged in molten zinc and then left to cool down for solidifying of the zinc layer.Like pipe fittings made in other materials, GI Pipe Fittings are also used in pipeline installation.
