Composite Cord Strap

Composite Cord Strap was originally made from rayon. Rayon was commonly used as reinforcement in motor vehicle tires. Our founder came up with the idea to use the rayon yarn, at that time in abundance, as the first real alternative to steel banding. In the early 70�s polyester yarn became available. It started to take the place of rayon because of its higher strength and weather-resistant properties. This resulted in the switch to industrial high tenacity polyester filament yarn. The first polyester Cord Strap was a bonded strapping. Bonded cordstrap is made of a series of yarns, laid longitudinally alongside each other bonded with glue.
