A street light, light pole, lamppost, street lamp, light standard, or lamp standard is a raised source of light on the edge of a road or path.The most common use of conical aluminum lighting poles are highways, pedestrian areas, shopping streets and boulevards, where they provide atmospheric lighting. These poles can be fitted with single or multi light fixture arms, in order to install one or more light sources.
