Tar Viscometer

It is used for determination the viscosity of road oils and cut back bitumen. It consists s. S. Bath with cup of 10 mm or 4 mm orifice and sleeve, stirrer with lifting clip and ball.Introduction. Viscosity is reverse of fluidity. It is a measure of the resistance to flow. Higher the viscosity of liquid bitumen, the more nearly it approaches a semi-solid state in consistency. Thick liquid is said to be more viscous than a thin liquid of the road pavement.
