Description

PTFE thread seal tape, also known as Teflon tape, is a non-adhesive white tape made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) used to seal threaded pipe joints and prevent leaks in plumbing and mechanical applications. It works by filling the tiny gaps in the threads, creating a leak-proof seal that is resistant to heat, corrosion, and many chemicals. The tape is easy to apply by wrapping it around the male threads before tightening the fitting.
