SS Bull Float

Bull floats allow the operator to reach far out onto a slab without having to get on the concrete with knee boards. This is because these floats consist of a long handle attached to a wood, resin, aluminum or magnesium float. The handle can measure anywhere from 4 feet to 16 feet long.Typically, channel floats have high side channels, which can push greater amounts of concrete around. Bull floats have blade lengths of 24 to 60 inches and are also used for large areas. Both types of floats have adjustable handles and leveling head brackets.The purpose of darbying or bull floating concrete is to level ridges and fill voids left by the screeding operation. It should also slightly embed the coarse aggregate to make subsequent finishing operations easier.
