Thermoplastics are polymers that can be softened through heating before being processed and then left to cool and harden. Once cooled, they show no changes in chemical properties, meaning they can be re-melted and re-used several times.It is used in making CDs and DVDs. Containers like shampoo bottles, drinking bottles, and food storage containers are made up of thermoplastic polymer. Some of the thermoplastics (polyurethane) are used as a sealant, adhesives, and coating material.
