Tray sealing is a packaging process that binds a flexible, die-cut lid to a pre-formed, rigid tray that contains whatever it is that needs to be packaged. Usually, the lid is made from thin material such as Tyvek, laminated foil, paper, or film, and the tray is made from a rigid or semi-rigid plastic such as PETG. Sealing machines are used to seal containers with liquids, granules, powders and sprays for consumer, bulk, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) supply shipments. Packaging materials include aerosol containers, bags and pouches, blister packs, bottles and jars, as well as cartons and boxes.Hot bar sealers- have heated tooling kept at a constant temperature (also known as Direct Contact Thermal Sealing). They use one or more heated bars, irons, or dies which contact the material to heat the interface and form a bond.
