Horizontal Strip Accumulator

A Horizontal Accumulator is an essential component used in tube and pipe mills to ensure smooth and continuous production. Its main purpose is to store strip material and provide a constant feed to the tube mill line, even during coil changeover. This significantly increases productivity and reduces downtime.Working Principle The incoming coil is uncoiled into a strip. The strip is stored inside the horizontal accumulator in a loop or zig-zag pattern. While a new coil is being loaded and joined, the accumulator continues feeding strip to the tube mill. This ensures continuous welding and forming without interruptions.
