Turret Milling Machine

The turret milling machine consists of a stationary spindle and a table which is moved in the perpendicular as well as parallel direction to the spindle axis, in order to cut the work piece. This type of machine provides various methods of cutting with the help of a quill.The cutter revolves at a normal speed and the work fed slowly past the cutter. The work can be fed in a longitudinal, vertical or cross direction. As the work progress further, the cutter teeth remove the metal from the work surface to produce the desired shape.
