Air Cooled Roots Blower

Roots blowers are typically oil-free, air-cooled technologies comprised of two rotors that spin in opposite directions. Once the compression chamber comes into contact with the outlet port, compressed air flows back into the housing from the pressure side.Roots blowers provide constant supply of oxygen to these ponds to enable the higher production of fishes/shrimps as compared to natural breeding of these organisms. These blowers are installed near ponds and farms and transfer oxygen to the bottom.Roots blower is a kind of positive displacement pumps. The impellers, which keep a film-thin clearance between each other, rotate in the casing without contacting each other to transfer the gas from the suction end to the discharge end through the inner periphery of the casing.Roots blowers are used to aerate raw sewage and industrial organic waste. The aeration drives the digestion of the waste by microorganisms. Roots blowers are also used for grit tank cleaning, filter flushing, backwashing and the recovery of gases. Oil-free roots blowers are used for deep cell aeration.The positive rotary lobe blower was designed in the 1850s by the Francis and Philander Roots brothers. It was later patented in 1860 by the brothers and the Roots name became the name of the design.
