Extruders are used to produce long continuous products such as tubing, tire treads, and wire coverings. They are also used to produce various profiles that can later be cut to length.An extruder consists of a rotating worm shaft within a cylindrical barrel. Material to be extruded is fed into one end of the barrel, and the worm shaft forces it out through the opposite end.
