How it Works: 1. Light Source: Ambient light or a backlight provides the light that will be modulated. 2. Polarization: The light first passes through a polarizer, which aligns the light waves in a specific direction. 3. Liquid Crystal Control: The liquid crystals, controlled by voltage, can twist or untwist, altering the polarization of the light passing through them. 4. Second Polarizer: The light then passes through a second polarizer, which either allows the light to pass through (creating a bright pixel) or blocks it (creating a dark pixel). 5. Image Formation: By controlling the voltage applied to each pixel, the LCD creates the desired image.
