Description
The Uv Weather Resistant Test Chamber from Weiber are specially designed equipments that are used for the testing of a wide variety of materials including rubber, organic compounds, and non-ferrous materials, plastic and building materials for their ageing and corrosion resistance towards UV irradiation. These test chambers are designed to provide natural weathering conditions by simulating complete UV spectrum that ranges from 280-400 nanometres. This UV spectrum includes the most aggressive UV-B range comprising of very short wavelengths ranging from 280-315 nm that are notorious for causing maximum material damage. The UV radiations can cause significant degradation effects in polymer based materials, ranging from simple discolouration of surfaces to extensive mechanical damage. Surface discolouration severely affects the aesthetic appeal of the product, but mechanical damage can threaten the structural integrity of building materials and the performance of the building product over a period of time The effect of UV radiation can be frequently observed in the affected materials in the form of surface discolorations, erosion and fading of surfaces, commonly known as chalking and surface cracks. Themechanical damage is generally not visible through the surfaces and manifests itself in the form of changes in tensile strength, elongation in break and other physic-chemical properties. The Uv Weather Resistant Test Chamber play a significant role in determining the stability and resistance of polymers, composite materials and other protective materials in the presence of UV rays and their appropriate usage. Advanced UV light technology and high quality fluorescent UV lights: for simulation of natural sunlight for accelerated weathering tests. Fluorescent Lamp Advantages: Fast results Stable light spectrum Simplified irradiance control Minimal maintenance Long lamp life Low price and operating cost Equipped with an illumination meter: helps in controlling the illumination levels within the test chamber. Voltage stabilizers: help in stabilizing the voltage, simultaneously adjusting the working voltage of the light tubes. Solar eye irradiance control: to control the effect of speed and degradation due to changes in spectrum.Solar eye is a precision control system that automatically maintains light intensity through a feedback loop. During the UV cycle, built-in sensors measure the light from each pair of lamps and transmit this data to the controller. The controller compares the measured irradiance to the set point. Then the controller instructs the power supply to adjust the current to the lamps to maintain the set point. Moisture simulation: for certain applications the specimens need to be wet.
