Anilox Curing System

An anilox roll is a hard cylinder, usually constructed of a steel or aluminum core which is coated by an industrial ceramic, typically Chromium oxide powder.In printing, anilox is a method used to provide a measured amount of ink to a flexographic (flexo) printing plate.The purpose of the anilox roller is to pick up ink from the fountain roller (or, in some configurations, directly from the ink fountain) and deliver a predetermined, metered, uniform amount of ink to the rubber printing plate.Cell carrying capacity is measured in Billions of Cubic Microns (BCMs). Microns are very small units of measurement; with human hair actually being 70 microns thick in diameter. Cell volume is expressed in billion cubic microns per square inch, or BCM/in².
