Description

A dot-matrix printer ribbon is a fabric strip soaked in ink, used in impact (dot-matrix) printers. As the print head's pins strike the ribbon, ink transfers onto paper in dots that together form text or graphics. These ribbons — often nylon or polyester — are inexpensive, durable, and ideal for high-volume, continuous-form or multipart printing (e.g. invoices, receipts, carbon-copies). Ribbons are supplied in spools cartridges for easy replacement and produce smudge-resistant, legible output for business use
