Injection Molding Machines

Injection molding is a forming process using molds. Materials such as synthetic resins (plastics) are heated and melted, and then sent to the mold where they are cooled to form the designed shape. Due to the resemblance to the process of injecting fluids using a syringe, this process is called injection molding. Injection molding is a method to obtain molded products by injecting plastic materials molten by heat into a mold, and then cooling and solidifying them. The method is suitable for the mass production of products with complicated shapes, and takes a large part in the area of plastic processing.There are three types of injection molding machines, classified by the type of drive/motor — hydraulic, electric, or hybrid.The injection molding machine melts the plastic which is then injected into the mold. This molten plastic is then cooled and solidified to take the shape of the final product. Uses of Injection Molding: Injection molding is used to create thin-walled plastic elements for a large variety of applications.
