Vibration Analysis

Vibration Analysis – All though it is well known, there are many misconceptions about Vibration Analysis. Just because the vibration analyst shows Spectrum (FFT) as vibration analysis, it doesn't mean that they carried out VA in reality. It is normally used as a technique for Condition Monitoring but in reality its not a better technique for condition monitoring. Actually it's a technique for Root Cause Analysis. While monitoring condition of hundred of assets we have limited time & vibration analysis need a lot of time to analyse. There are new techniques like Ultrasound, can be better as a CM technique. Whereas Vibration Measurement is an important technique of Condition Monitoring & not Vibration Analysis.
