Videojet Printing Ink

The Videojet printer produces a stream of minuscule ink droplets and picks a few to print, which becomes the characters that appear on the product. The new droplets are returned to the printer and subsequently reintegrated into the ink stream. Ink is made of a mixture of ingredients including solvents, colorants (pigments or dyes), resins, varnishes, and additives including drying agents, waxes, and lubricants. The varnish is the base of most printer ink. It is a combination of linseed oil or soybean oil, along with resins, solvents, and other materials.
