Wall-mounted cabinets are the workhorses of cabinetry, providing much needed storage space above base cabinets, making them ideal for accessing items that are needed while standing or moving about the room.The two main differences between a base cabinet and a wall cabinet are the dimensions of the cases, and the inclusion of a 4 1/2-inch toe kick on base cabinets where the cabinet meets the floor. Standard base cabinets are 34 1/2 inches high and 24 inches deep.
