Description
Dr. Fixit Bathseal Select is a ready-to-use; liquid-applied elastomeric water based waterproof coating. That curesto form a monolithic membrane designed for wet areas under tiled finish application. Being a 1K liquid appliedcoating, it reduces mixing errors and saves time due to excellent flow properties and thereby easy application withroller or brush. It is fully compatible with polymer modified cement based tiles adhesives, screeds and renders.Technical compliances:} Complies with technical requirements of Singapore Housing Development Board (HDB) for toilets, bathroomsand other wet area applications} Compliance to Australian Standard AS /NZS 4858 :2004 class II membrane "Waterproofing of Wet Areas inResidential Buildings"Typical ApplicationWaterproof coating for internal wet areas as under tiled finishesConcrete, Pre-fabricated bathrooms, toilets and drywall partitions, kitchens, laundry area.Features} Ready to use straight from the pail} Flexible, has crack bridging ability} High bond strength to a variety of substrates and building materials} Bonds to clean metal drains, PVC, and ABS drain assemblies} Liquid applied membrane, can be applied with roller, brush} Non-toxic, Provides a seamless coatingMethod of Application1 GENERAL SURFACE PREPARATION} Surface must be clean, dry and in sound condition to ensure adequate adhesion.} To aid in adhesion on a concrete or screeded surface, the smoothness of substrate should be at least theequivalent to that of a wood float or light broom finish} Remove all oil, grease, dust, loose particles and other foreign material.} Fill all cracks, voids and bug-holes with an appropriate Crack Filler.} Any surface defects should be repaired prior to application of membrane.} Metal and PVC fitting and trims must be primed with Dr. Fixit Bathseal Select to provide good bond.} Grind the, smooth finishing of wall and slab and make it rough to receive the coating} All junction of drywall subject to movement shall be first sealed with Dr. Fixit PU Sealant} All new concrete slabs must have a wood float finish and be allowed to cure for at least 6 weeks.} Required to provide fillet at all vertical and horizontal transition of size to 50 mm x 50 mm with cement andsand mortar screed admixed with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP 10 % by weight of cement} Cracks due to shrinkage should be repaired with polymer modified mortar.
